Special Request: Maple Vinaigrette Dressing Recipe

We had a very busy day at the Sugarhouse yesterday. It was so nice to welcome many new customers, along with our faithful returnees!

Batch #11, a  dark & robust syrup, was very popular.

I had a request to post a delicious & easy Maple Vinaigrette Dressing made using this flavorful syrup.  One tablespoon of Dijon Mustard can be substituted for the dry mustard and vinegar of your choice. I use  Tarragon Wine Vinegar. This dressing is delicious on fresh spring greens or baby spinach!  Enjoy!  http://gonewengland.about.com/od/maplerecipes/r/recmpledressing.htm

Last Boiling Weekend, So Soon?

It seems that this season’s early start of January 27th is now approaching the end of its run.

Spring temps are predicted for next week and this weekend will most likely be the last opportunity to  boil this season.

Stop by to say hello, see the process, and have a taste!

We now have 10 different batches and 160 gallons of freshly made Maple Syrup to choose from.

Hope to see you this weekend at Durham Sugarhouse!
